September 2011 Nice Rendition: Cheryl Wheeler's Lyrics in Calligraphy Sixty artists have visually interpreted the lyrics of seventy three Cheryl Wheeler songs for the book "Nice Rendition: Cheryl Wheeler's Lyrics in Calligraphy". This exhibit of selected original artwork from the book showcases Cheryl's striking lyrics. The songs visually come to life through the pens and brushes of these talented calligraphic artists and will astound you not only in their breadth of imagery but also in their depth of intensity. Books will be available during the exhibit, including September 10, the night of Cheryl Wheeler's performance. | Mary Lawler, calligrapher of the Nice Rendition title, will be exhibiting her work at the Burnett Gallery in the Forbes Library in Amherst MA April 2 - 29. Mary's contribution to Nice Rendition: Cheryl Wheeler's Lyrics in Calligraphy, HOWL AT THE MOON, will be included in this exhibit. Opening reception is on Thursday the 7th. | |||
